Versa: my largest creative project to date.
I finished up my first every commission project this past week. First outside of my family buying some custom paintings, that is. I was allowed creative freedom within the sizing limits of about 4 foot by 6 foot. They sent me some references from past paintings I have done that they saw in my book, Abstract. The only other ask was I include gold.
Seventeen hours over a month and some change resulted in my largest and most complex painting in my portfolio, Starting as 3 equal sized canvas and a very rough concept, Versa was created. Using the equal sizes to my advantage I opted to design the piece in a way that could be displayed in any orientation and have design elements line up as seamlessly as possible. The idea of versatility and ability to adapt to the environment was inspired by the individual who requested the commission.
Technically mixed media, the overall medium used was acrylic paint. Oil paint and reflective vinyl was also used to add some additional dimension.
I am currently open to doing additional commissions at this time. If you or someone you know is interested, let me know via email abstract.af.gallery@gmail.com
