Music Branding Design Journal - King’s Busketeers

We've all had that thought cross our minds as you were knee deep in a short stack and a tall glass of orange juice and now you can have an americana pirate band that, without a doubt in my mind gets all the wenches at the local Renaissance Faire, sing you a tale about love, lust, drunken adventures and pancakes.

The newest add to my is a deck swabbing doozie. The title track is simply named "Denny's"

The King's Busketeers has a small but strong following of 7,014 monthly listeners with their number one shanty featuring America's second favorite 24/7 breakfast diner. Denny's brings you back to a time where blackbeard cooks you bacon and you question what art is.

Give Denny's a listen and I promise by the third chorus you will be singing along to the King's Busketeers' song.

Design Journal

  • Poster & Merch Design Idea - Vintage-style poster with distressed textures and hand-drawn pirate motifs.

  • Motifs - Renaissance-style etchings, pirate ships, tavern scenes.

  • Color Palette - Muted browns, golds, deep reds, and parchment yellow. I might be playing into the Denny’s aesthetic a bit too close, but the color theme is iconic.
